This image, for example, expresses human depravity simply, but efectively. 

"HIM" is meant to be a slice of life. It delvs into a world of darkness and violence and it is not intended to show how the good guys win or overcome thier odds, rather it showcases the folly of getting into bed with the devil.  

"When you get into bed with the devil he "F@&!s" you and then tosses you aside."  

He exploits your areas of weakness in order to find his place of attrachment.  

DEAN: Pride and Loss of Purporse. 

BRENNAN: Being an "Orphan" and wanting desperatly to be part of a family.

DAN: Greed and a desire to cheat the system before it cheats him.  

Many of the gaps in the script are inteded to be filled with the life the actors bring to the piece.  Within the "SAND BOX" they build together with the Director.  

DAN

This video captures a few importatnt qualities to be maintained as we tell the story. 

1.  This is a familiar situation  for Dan; explainging why he would be so willing to leave with Dean and Bren.  Dan posses a level of stress inoculation that would allow him to opperate in such a high stakes situation cooly.  Self aware, he knows what he would do without remorse.
2. There is not music since we want to keep things as close to reality as possible.  
3. Violence of this level is terrifying.  No sexy violence allowed in this film.  We want people to see a gun and have respect for what it is capable of unleashing with out trivializing it.    

GRAVITY

This clip inturduces something I have not yet seen in a film.  The use of sound if PERFECT, with regards to reality.  FAST and FINAL.   

love's motivaiton

This is for Dean.  This is an example of why he may want to get out from under "HIS" control.  Love.  We all know that meeting the right person can be a catalist of complete change in mindset, and vision.  Dean is a man that, before having this life change, was ok going through the motions and living in violence.
